My car is in the process of getting a lot of modifications. Wheels, brakes, zorst the works.

My front end was always hitting things as it was so bloody low with the lip and i refused to take it off cause it didnt look as good. Came to the conclusion of a whole new front end. Thanks to John at JVM for the bar. very happy with the quality of the product and the fit to the car. Got the bonnet, front guards, flares and bar painted up in one hit. fantastic finish and great price! Big thanks to Franko at Pymble Smash for a top quality job!

Final fit of the original flares is yet to be done so i have to adjust them a little, and of course the mesh. found some stuff that is almost the same as the grill so will be going with some of that next wknd.

Had to make the flare extension up myself. took a mould off the original ones with fibreglass, rooted around and stuck them on. I'm very happy with them

Real carbon fibre! adds a nice touch and splits the bar up nicely breaking up the red a little

Sorry jase, not a fan of the carbon fibre, even if it is real. The new bar looks great apart from that though :)

Btw I finally put in your old twinpots, with slotted RDA rotors and EBC Greenstuff. Very happy with the result

Use some 3-5mm ABS to fill in the gap under the car. You could even make a duct from the main opening to the radiator. If you got really bored you could duct the side openings to cool the brakes.

Well, if he can afford to get another set of huge, good quality rims then do it. :D

Those black rims are the perfect accent for the carbon fibre.

That looks ****en great. :)

Yeah, kinda has a HSV feel to it.

I'm not a fan of CF or just 'whack on a kit' and it looks sick but Jason, that's actually looking alright. John's design works quite well with the lines and looks better in red than most other colours. Nice work.

Nice mate, Johns bar certainly does look nice. I'd definitely put a black mesh though for now, because it looks a little bit messy when you look at it from a low enough angle.

Those two little gaps between the wheel flares and the front bar (near the grille) how u gonna fix those up?

Could someone photoshop a verada grille on that? I reckon it will look really nice on it because I've never seen a red magna with a verada grille before.

All in all, good stuff TZABOY, less happy racer look is definitely nice.

Great work, JVM front with full ralliart kit is the goods imo. Love the extra customization to set it apart from the norm. Appreciate the time and care that musta been involved.

Rims are great already, no need to change em again.

Eager to see how the rest of the project comes along, looks like it will be speed and looks to kill.

I'm going to admit right now, this is the first time I've seen a front bar on a Magna that looks absolutely fantastic!

I've never really liked all those other aftermarket stuff thats been round as of late, especially those widebody ones, they just personally don't look right, then again I've never really been of a fan of Japanese automotive styling and I'm more of a homegrown muscle car styling.

Saying that, the BMS stuff looked nice, but there was always something missing to it, and I've also liked John's kit ever since the original 3 years ago, but once again there was something missing to it...

Jase, I think you've hit it on the nail with the carbon insert, what we normally see on the homegrown cars are the grey inserts that help break up the colours. The carbon does the same, and it's good you didn't overuse the amount of carbon. Although it would have been even better if the carbon was able to go all the way to the edge, but I guess its a technical difficulty to achieve that?

As for meshing, make sure you DON'T (and I know you won't) get those tacky meshes from Autobahn etc.

A mesh of similar styling would be real nice:

http://musclemustangfastfords.com/features/0605mmfp_07z+1998_ford_fpv_boss_290_gt_p+front_vie w.jpg

(Of course without the FPV engraved, and maybe a darker colour scheme to match up the colour of the top grille)

Jase,

That look fantastic - as others have said, JVM with ralliart kit might just be the best combo I've ever seen.

Is there are reason you didn't extend the carbon fibre all the way to the end of the horizontal bar? I think it looks a little strange with the little red bits showing.

Awesome work, it looks tidy as. Love it.

If I was gonig to kit my car I would Definatly go the JVM bar. I really like the Simon's BMS kit for the TL/TW but just find there is something missing from the TJ kit, I don't dis-like his TJ kit just find the TL one looks more the piece.

Looking forward to see what else you do.

Gives the bar & front some style.

Where did you source the CF from?

TZABOY
06-11-2006, 06:06 PM
thanks for everyones great feedback! i really do appreciate it.

couple of other things the gap between the original flare and the new one will be reduced once i re install the bar after i do my mesh.

the carbon did go all the way to the edge but the painter brought it in a bit as the carbon weave got a little crap on the edges. after all it is only there for show, not weight reduction and strenght :D

i might make some sort of front defuser but thats a maybe atm. i will however make an airbox on the passanger side and bring the pod right down the front again. this bar provides the best possible air flow so gonna give it a shot!

thanks again guys

Probably one of the best kits i've seen. good job Jase.

All u have to do now is change the rims with some nice black ones (as sugested by asylum) and
u'll have one of the best looking magnas i know (not that i know many) :D

considered, but thats as far as i'm gonna go!
I wanted a set of Lenso concept 5's but after using 3 different tyre places trying to chase the wanker at lenso to get a set of these rims i just gave up. couldnt get a definate if they were on the next shipment or not so sticking with the ones i have . . . . for now!
I'm not compensating for anything, but i can't speak for the others on 20's lol
