gday every1,
well after finishining my stereo for this year, alot of my mates reckon i needed a tv in my car!so after a few monthes of discussion and planning and searching for a tv,came across a nice 7 inch flat screen colour tv on ebay for only 170 bucks delivered as well!
my xbox has been sitting in my room for like monthes i have abandened it ever since ive been doin more stuff to my car,cos i rather be out cruising then stuck at home!my xbox is also modded which alows me to store games on it,and use the controler as a remote control wen watchin dvds, also can turn off my xbox with my controler as well.
so anyways a good mate of mine offered to help me out and said i could get could the xbox ,tv and converter put in less that like 400 bucks!and i was like oh yeah!
the tv took 2 weeks to arive which was early than i expected,my mate had already started making the centre for the tv to fit in so i had no idea until he showed me.
we managed to get it painted and installed in 1 night, then the 150 watt converter we tested stuffed up,so i went and asked about a more powerful converter and the dudes at the audio store highly recomended the 300 watt converter.
got that for 160 bucks, installed for free of course.
then after a week with only running the xbox sound through the tv and no neon switches hooked up ,finaly got around to hookin it up to my stereo headunit and a missle neon switch put in.
just repainted my interior today, started with a sable black over the top then went lightly with sparkling blue and clear coated it this time.the xbox sits neatly under the pasengers seat,im happy wit it there atm,and the converter is under the seat as well.anyways heres some pics let me know wat you think,oh and 1 question i wanted to know is it posible to get dolby digital sound from my xbox through my soundssytem?
cheers for any help
this was purchased from a wrekers and that bit for the tv was custom made and moulded into shape and sanded back

7 inch tv plus delivery 170 bucks
300 wat converter 160 bucks
wireing and installment free

new top of the range 7 inch tvs can range from over 1000 bucks
hunt around, you can also use portalble dvd players, also if you have an xbox or ps2 know need to spend money on a dvd player!also if your headunit suports aux also can come in handy wen hookin up the xbox to the stereo.

there is an xbox car club too?lol
sweet dude!
ah piece of piss just sits under the pasenger seat fits in nicely, have the controls in the glove box only get em out wen im playin, the pasenger seat cant be moved bak so i just positioned it just right so theres just enough leg room for the person in the pasenger side.all the cords and wiring have been neatly bundled so theres none flyin around, and the fuses, and the amp control is in the center storage bit just below the gear stick so its easy to get to.the xbox has been fitted so it cant be moved or move around and so the ppl who are sitin in the bak cant kick it.

shouldnt be too hard to do it yourself
have alook around the forum
should be a thread telling you how to do it
the only thing that costs the most in the vinyl

Looks great! which paint did you use?
well originaly it was like a light blue wit metal flakes through it.
i used 2 coats of sable black then 3 coats of sparkling blue i did 2 but i wanted it to be more blue.then i did 2 coats of clear coat, for each spray i left it for about 10-20 minutes i had a heater so it speeded up the drying process, also had to sand bak where there was too much paint sprayed on my original paint work and hand to sand back air bubbles scratches etc
and the paint i used is called anchor lacquer paint quick drying,i highly recomend it if you can get hold of it:)

Looks nice mate. i would not be one to put an XBOX or PS2 in my car but like what you have done.
Like the TV though, now you have me working out where i could put one in my car dont want to loose the cup holders or ashtray though (no dont smoke).
i would pick the new colour over the old one its not as bright.
