Hi guys! Was just wondering how would you find out if my TH Magna has had all the recalls done to it. I read a thread showing how to check for this and yes I think my TH Magna has needed to be recalled. But what do I do after checking the Government website saying that there is a recall on my model?
1999 TH Magna Advance
In Brisbane.

How do i check it the parts have been fixed as part of the recall?
What do I do if it hasn't been fixed? Where to go what to do?

Cheers

Write down you vin and ring mitsubishi customer care up. They'll tell you straight away whether it needs to be recalled. Then you just book your car in to the nearest mits dealer and you're laughing :).

Normally the dealer will stamp the service book or write something in the "extra items/services' section to say what had been completed.

Or you should have a sticker stuck to the car somewhere, IE. inside the door next to the wheel arch.

Thanx guys called Mitsubishi today and they gave me the all clear.
But they told me to tear out something from the log book and mail it to them. They said this was to tell them that I owned the car. And also to allow them to contact me if anything was wrong.

Was just wondering since you guys bought 2nd hand cars did you guys mail this thingy from the log book to them? I guess informing them that you now own the car?
Have any of you guys sent your car back to fix because of a recall?
Let me hear your accounts?

Cheers!!!

I never had to send anything off to Mitsubishi for either of my cars, might have been because I bought them both through car dealers but. Was yours a private buy?

If you have to send yuor car back for a recall, just organize a time with them, drop your car off, and pick it up later that day with the recall fixed. Does not cost anything, so worth doing.

I've kinda done it, but i did it online. You can go to the mitsubishi website, there's a section called mits owners or something. You whack in your details and they then know you have the car. I signed up and 3 days later i got a phone call from mits customer service saying congrats on your purchase, you car hasn't been recalled for the fuel inspection, please do it asap. I thought that was great service!

Hi Articuno!,

Yeah mine was a private buy. I've called Mitsubishi and they said that my model didn't need at fixing. But they did tell me to mail in some change of ownership thingy from the manual or log books. Probably do that after the exams.

Thanx M4ddog!,

I've found that page but is that for the registration or transferring ownership of the car? I bought my car 2nd hand and its a 1999 TH Magna. I have registered with them but it doesn't allow my year to be selected.

Anyone out there has managed to register their pre 2001 model Magnas from the Mitsubishi website? Or managed to actually let Mitsubishi know that the car has changed hands from their website?
