Big4cyl and myself are on the lookout where we can get some drive reconditioned drive shafts for our cars.
I was quoted for a reconditioned one from Walkers auto one for $160 trade price. This is for the complete drive shaft and then i will have to install it myself (which isn't really much of a drama) The boots on the right hand side are both gone so i was about to have to do this which was going to cost me around $40 anyways, (i'v already changed the boots on the left hand side.
its not making a small clicking, its making a definite knock when i'm driving straight ahead and when i'm turning left (its the right hand side that is gone) stops doing it when i'm turning right as the weight is less on that side.
Also when i accelerate the right hand front really shakes and knocks which has me worried that its the wheel bearing...anyone in brisbane know the difference i'll take someone for a drive if they are willing to help.
and i'll shout u some beers :D

well i found the average price is $160 for brand new ones fitted. and i couldn't find anywhere else cheaper for brand new and fitted, a lot of them didn't really do recoed ones for much cheaper (like $15 cheaper) so i didn't think it worth it, when the new ones have a 3 year warranty and 100,000km's
if anyone else knows where i can get some newys for that warranty and price or better please pm me

Try Australian CV joint centre in Slacks Creek, they do CV joints which is what yours sounds like.
