Hi all, I need some suggestions...
I have a TH Sports with the standard Black and Grey interior, white sports dials etc. My headunit is silver.
My power window surrounds look very tacky due to wearing through the black coating so I want to tidy up my interior.
Right now Im tossing up between 2 choices...
1. I may be able to get a full verada dark woodgrain interior for a reasonable price.
OR
2. Paint it all a high gloss black.
Heres a pic of the woodgrain:

I don't want to do silver or any other different colour.
Which do you all reckon would look the best...
Thanks, Pete

Did you know that you can do a DYI effect of woodgrain with an acetlyene flame. Paint the panels what ever colour you desire, wave the acet flame over it in a "woodgrain directional fashion" and brush off excess with a natural horse hair brush, whack on a few coats of clear and viola:cool:
Saw It on overhaulin, and it didn't look hard at all.
Which means you could hit your panels with a matt silver/gunmetal and the black grain.
N.B. the grain does take on the base colour as well, so a light brown = dark brown etc etc.
Food for thought if you wanted to try.

I'm not sure where you would get it from for a custom job, but I don't mind that high gloss piano finish some cars have these days on the centre stack, example being the VZ Calais/Monaro etc.

Wow most people want the back! I thought it might have been the other way around. Thanks heaps for the feedback though! I have in the post the power windows for the front from 'TJ Sports' so can put them in and then mess around with my worn ones and see how it turns out.
Yeah the piano gloss black is what I had in mind... looots of coats and fine sanding!
Cheers

Hey mate I have the woodgrain in mine so i could take some pics if you want a better idea of how it looks . I like the woodgrain but only found myself thinking the other day how sweet it would all look in a high gloss piano black.

$40 is actually pretty darn good considering if you did it yourself you would need primer, as well as how ever many cans of colour you go through and then if you feel like it use top coat.... so the $40 is mostly cost of the paint used...
