if you haven't already, take off or lower the front bumper to put them in.

Thanks! Taking the bumper off or lowering seemed the only way. Bought the paras on ebay 2 days ago for $450 buy now. ozeparts has them at $440 each  $880 for a pair.

they are one piece so you will have to drop your front bar a bit.

just where the indicator goes theres i think 2 bolts and it should be a 10mm. if you remove those to bolts you will have a little bit of play in the bar. enough for u to slip the parras in. but befor you do that get some tabe and but it on the edge where the front of the parras will sit coz you might scratch your paint.

Assuming you have read all threads about parabolics, I hope you gotten the wiring sorted correct first.

Forget about playing with the bar. Unscrew the wheel arches, lift and you shouldn't have any issues.

you would have to deal with more then 2 bolts to remove the wheel arch.

the bar would be the easiest way

I did the centre bolt that bolts on under the bonnet release. Then I did one bolt on the inside of the indicator which loosened the plastic then I pushed the plastic bumper down with one hand and slid the light in with the other. I reckon If I had to do it again it would only take about 20mins per light. Which I may have to as I need to earth the red wire on both sides.

how the hell did you take them out in the first place?

He took out standard 2 piece Headlights and put in 1 Piece Parabolic headlights.

So getting them out is easy putting the one piece back in is not

No mate. I didn't say remove the wheel arches, I said lift the wheel arches.

And please tell us all how you did that.
Step one: pop bonnet
Step two: unscrew three nuts
Step three: life wheel arches* while someone plays with the headlights
Step four: screw in three nuts
Step five: close bonnet

Seriously, it's not rocketsurgery

*you're trying to raise the wheel arches a little, enough to help the lights at the corner, so don't use enough force to bend, dint or damage anything.

Please help out, the greatest Nobbi here...
I took some photos of the normal head light and the para. Please look.

Should I leave the side indicators as is???

And how to earth the red wire?????

only cut the red wire on the low beam

splice it together with another wire and earth it to the body, on the drivers side there is an earth point on the panel behind the water bottle. on the passenger side it's under the fuse box and really hard to get to, there is another under the air filter

DO NOT cut the high beam wire as it works just fine

it looks like you have para's with park lights already, thats what the centre wire is, just plug it in to the loom plugs should be the same. the wire you have pointed to is from the old loom just pull the plug off and plug the one in off your car

Man here we go.

You ONLY NEED to touch the lowbeams for ALL PARABOLICS.

As stated by DVS, cut the RED Wire and get another piece of wire connect it and ground it to the body.

Its preferably to get some additional connectors to prevent cutting the original wiring but its all up to you.

Connect the parkers with your current setup should be easy.

Cheers!

What's a Parabolic sticky, if we had one I wouldn't get so many PM's

Should we just download this attachment and attached to your wiring writeup? And maybe ask one of the mods to make that writeup of yours a sticky.

Probably get the pdf of the location of the grounding points as well.
