hi guys, i am looking at selling my ts for something else. for a long time i have been looking at a vl wagon, 5spd with an RB30, but i dont know, its hard to come by an unmolested example.

so i was wondering, what models are there in the 3rd gen stationwagons? {apart from stock} i have seen some nice solaras around where i live, but is there anything else? i mean like a verada? fto? sports? i highly doubt but you get the idea.

also the main reason for selling the ts is for something rwd, im not one for fwd, so what about AWD wagons?
and also i have heard a bit about rwd conversions, now i know all of this is money i dont really have {conversionwise that is,} so a bog stocker would be better,

thanks in advance for any help,
mitcham

AWD only came in sedan due to different floorplan and suspension in wagon.

What do you have against FWD cars
And if you wanted to get a magna/verada or what ever converted to a RWD it will cost a lot, you might as well ether by a AWD magna or if you want to fork out all that money get a FWD and then get it changed to a AWD, that might be a lot cheaper to do than a RWD conversion.:D

cheers guys thats what i thought seeing as though the wagon would be a longer wheelbase. what do i have against fwd? nothing its just that i prefer a car that i can get sideways, not to say magnas cant get sideways or are in any way a poor car, they are great! its just i want a car i can push a bit harder through corners or at the lights without front end shake, loss of traction when cornering blah blah blah. and my standard ts just doesnt do that.

Actually 3rd gen sedan and wagon have the same wheelbase, what is different is the floorplan and rear suspension.

You could rip out an AWD floorplan and put it into a wagon, but then the suspension will need to be totally redesigned from scratch and I'm sure things will intrude into the cargo space (ie. the spare tyre well is right in the position where the axle should be).
