View Full Version : Sump plug Seal - Which do you prefer? - O Ring or Fibre Washer
Today I just thought before changing the oil, I wonder what everybody uses, the fibre washer or an O ring. Personally I use both so A) the sump plug isn't tight as a cats behind and B) the o ring gives it a good seal. Hasn't leaked in a year so i'm confident in my choice. What about the rest of you??

My dealer mechanic gives it to me for free for the o-ring.
What about good ol' gasket goo?
Umm, lets say this is for solids..

It stops the oil from leaking out....
Well if i could figure out how to edit the poll i'd put it in..

I use a little flat piece of lead, punch a hole in it and cut it to a circle shape, works wonders as the lead will mould to any shape needed.
