Mate there is a million & one threads on this topic, just do a search and it will give u the info your after!!
But you can just replace the tip if its looks your after, if not get a cat back system either redback or lukey will serve you well, something like a 2.5" or 3" system depending on $$$!!

if you're just after sound, the cheapest way is to go get yourself a new muffler (you can get a lukey one which will give you a nice growl for about $250 installed) but if you're gonna do other more expensive performance stuff later on get yourself a cat back

As I've said in other threads, the Vortex Exhaust muffler performs the best in my opinion, it creates a suction effect and doesn't work on backpressure - the suction acts the same way as backpressure (apparently) but doesn't give you the negative of it. You can get it from a guy off Ebay for $130, although there are several different sizes and variants. The one on ebay is aneel steel I think, which is good enough, much cheaper than the stainless steel version but yeah! they sound good and work better than the Lukey!
Don't know if there is anyone else on this forum that has one, I think there's one other. The other thing is its completely Aussie, not a chinese dodgy import or anything. They're made in Queensland.

What's the noise like in the Vortex ?
I don't want drone and I don't particularly want noise as I do a lot of cruise speed driving as well as suburban. Nice burble would be good though - I could handle that. Looking at getting a Berkeley at the moment - Thanks.

ha man just go to an exhuast shop and tell them what they told ya and youll get a good exhaust with good gains
The stock magna exhaust is 2.4". If you ever replaced it you would get a 2.5". A slight improvement, but unless your doing more mods its not worth it just yet.
$150-$250 will get you a straight through muffler. Any straight through will do. It all depends on whether you want to pay for something shiny.

The vortex muffler actually creates a vacuum effect (caused by the vortex). Simple idea but great results!
I have a TP magna admittedly, but it does make the exhaust sound nice, especially for a 4 cylinder and it certainly pulls harder in each gear.

Admittedly their website is basic but they perform and thats the main thing!
