Hey all

Which DBA rotors are better than the standard VRX rotors? I want to upgrade my brakes but don't have a lot of money to spend on Brembos's etc, so i'm looking at DBA atm.

Can anyone tell me which rotors they used to get better braking and how much they paid and whether they feel any difference ?

I'm using Bendix Ultimates as pads atm, do i have to change them if i upgrade?

I have DBA slotted rotors in my car (a TF, but the brakes are the same as yours).

The only difference I have noticed with the slotted rotors is the pad face is always fresh and braking in the wet is more positive.

But if you wanted to go with slotted rotors first see if RDA supply some for Magans, as their product is better then the DBA units.

I second that. I bought a set for the front for my old ks with new lucas pads as well. The
pads outlasted the rotors. Do a search for my previous post for info on it. It did however
improve the braking a lot. You could definitely feel the pads biting.

If you seriously want to improve your cars braking ability you have to increase rotor diameter and pad surface area. Ralliart/AWD spec rotors/calipers and and a performance pad such as EBC greenstuff will significantly improve your brakes. (RPW claim 40% better - I tend to agree with this statement)

Standard 276mm slotted rotors will give you some improvement over stock but it's not going to bruise your frontal lobes when you hit the anchors.

As far brands go I've only ever used RDA rotors. They are excellent value for money.
