How are we all?

I finally got around to lowering the magna today, took about three hours to get it all finished, not too bad for a first time. Didn't run into any problems either. I'm using Superlow Lovells and KYB Shocks.

Feel free to comment.

Cheers.

Ben.

Might be too late but do you know exactly or pretty close to how many mm it dropped with the lovell superlows? Im looking at king spring SPs for 30mm (insurance wont let me go lower), interested to see how much that drop is because apparently the lovells are a nicer ride.

I'd say around a 50 - 60mm drop, they also make just a low spring which is around a 30mm drop.

And TL-R yeah it's filthy at the moment, i'll get on to that asap.

Very good repairs on the drivers door, I must say!

Were both doors sprayed when they did the repairs or only the one?

It's actually the passenger side door, i just flipped the photo over, both doors were resprayed, there was a tiny scratch on the rear door, very happy with the job they did and very happy i had insurance.

Cheers for the comments all.

omg that was high, good work.... much better looking now, and you dont need oxygen to drive it anymore, no more nose bleeds... lol

maybe yo could sell the old springs to the preson in the other thread asking about raised springs, cos that looks higher than a regular magna to me

Rob, you love suggesting darker tint now you have some, don't you. He is right though, your ride looks awesome but some darker tint would go well.

We have the same wheel and lowering set up, KYB Shocks with Lovells Super lows in the front and Lows in the rear but I have 17" Shadow Chrome Adrenalines.

Looks Sweet dude, much improved. Needs a spoiler and darker tint though:D

How much did the springs & shokies set you back? Thought about dropping mine but front bar always scrapes as it is. Oh well.

What are you going to do next?

I'm the same ever since I got dark tint too :)

I have to agree with the other guy, loose the mud flaps, I had mine colour coded and it looks alot nicer.

I have just bought Kings S/L on Friday arvie, set me back 137 for the front only... looking at dropping her by 20/30mm, currently running 2080 (pedders) am not happy with the ride height.

I would say the rears would be round the same price.

Bought from my Local repco shop.

Whats with the pics?... they have somehow been reversed, the top shows the passenger side (looking at fuel cap n aerial) but the bottom pic is taken from the drivers side, so therfore your looking at the wrong side for the repairs... but the background doesnt appear to have changed... its jamacanmecrazy man lol...

All up cost me 695 plus 3hrs of my time.

Next on the ever increasing list is, exhaust, colour coding, tint, and a leather-look interior from that ebay seller, also a black carpet if i can find one...

lol yep :D
the only reason why i suggest it is cause it really sets off the ride once you have lowered it and put bigger rims on
i dont know but it just completes the look of the car to me :)

here here Im with the tinting aswell, darker the better.... Has anyone had the "colour" coded tint put on (I know its illegal but pffft fck it looks sweeet)...

With the carpet, it does say 97 - 99 so maybe it will cover the TH, if you do happen to find out let me know, cos they will have a second sale :D

I'm looking at getting tint right now, Premier tint at enoggera in brisbane are having a 2 for one deal on there top range tint i think its something like $480 so thats $240 per person.
meanwhile if i can't get something like their mirage range. My verada also needs aircon to be done but somewhat putting it off til i decide on the TT DOHC because its a waste of getting it gassed, as change of engine i will lost it all anyways.

You'll find the carpet is identical, it's just that i think there's an australian rule/law regarding some after market parts not being allowed to be sold until the car is a certain age. The floorpan as far as i know is identical accross the FWD 3rd gens, so even if the carpet needed to be cut, it would be very minor and very easy.

Cheers Leigh, that's what I wanted to hear. Won't be getting it for a while though. Need to save up a bit of cash.
