Would be awesome, but i'm not sure how you'd go with the timing chain setup... i dont think the case would be wide enough to run 2 cams.
This might make for interesting reading... i havent had a chance to read it yet.

Yeah there was this page on amc (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11209). I posted it in the N/A Astron thread, I assume this is where you got the idea from.
HKS did make them for the Starion and these guy's were copying the design. Although they did mention they were going to cnc it from solid billet which seems a bit wierd, I have no idea how they would get the coolant channels out. I would have thought they would have gone with making a small production run of cast ones.
They mention on the last page a cost of ~$2000 USD for the head and cams. If we were to get a fair few people that were interested in getting one, ie Starion, Magnas, Sigmas et al, it'd be cool to try and get the CAD file and see how much a cast production run would be, I know there's one guy who's dad runs/owns/manages a foundry  lol
whats happened with that do you know if there was a go-ahead

Nah I've got no idea. There is an email addy in there if you're interested. A DOHC 16V head would absolutely transform these cars. It'd prolly even be possible to shoehorn MIVEC running gear in there for an insane change lol.
edit: I had to get a new head for my 4cyl recently and that cost $400 so I would have thought it plausible to have a head cast for roughly $1000
