Hi, I have a 1999 TF Advance Wagon, light blue (after writing off my 1997 TE Advance Sedan). I was wondering if anyone can offer any tips for mods like exhaust/extractors, etc. The only mods I have so far are a set of 18 x 7.5 inch wheels, debadging, window tint and basic sound system.
I intend to colour code strips, moulds, mirrors, lower the car (don't know how far is practical, but I need to narrow the gap on those front wheel arches-my only real complaint with the way Magnas look), upgrade the stereo system, exhaust and maybe do some basic mods to the motor. It's in pretty good nick, 123,000 on the clock.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

cheers,
schmedley

Hi, thanks for the welcome and the fast replies. I work in construction, so you can imagine the stirring I got from all the guys that drive around in modified commodores and falcons, till they realised I paid $6900 for my car.:D Don't get me wrong, I like commodores and falcons, just reckon they are overpriced and most have very high k's and the bum thrashed out of them (also big question marks over build quality until very recent)
I love magnas, you get a lot of car for your money, their well put together and they respond well to mods from what I am told. There's actually a heap more things I want to do to the car, but time and money will dictate what I do and when I do it. The immediate concern is lowering it to make the front wheel arches less of an issue. I've seen some lowered to the point of ridiculous, and the queries I've made so far with places like The Tyre Factory, Beaurepaires etc, haven't been very fruitful, to say the least.
I'd also like to become more involved in the club and look forward to any news, info, etc about what is going on with the club.
Thanx again.

hey mate welcome to the club:)
if your planning on lowering your car i recomend a place that specialises in suspension, maybe some sets of kings springs or lovel springs
as for amc meetings etc dont forget to check out your state forum thats where yourt bros are at!:D
ask in the victoria forum, they also can help you out where is the best place to get your springs, some may even have some for sale.
as for performance mods ive heard rpw extractors are the best of the best, theres also lukey performance extractors and some other brands etc
hope to hear from you in the future
kind regards,
hamish (Tony):D
