I have just picked up an 01 Magna Advance...and it has no owners Manual etc for it, Sooooo....I was wondering
1. How do you set the clock on the radio....cause I cannot figure it out
2. What does the "Roller Dial", next to the air vent on the LHS of the steering wheel do?.....as it does not seem to want to move without a lot of force and I dont wanna break anything....yet!
3. Noticed this morning going to work (and last nite) that the front and rear windows mist up badly!....air con removes it quick enough but gets a bit cold  ....Common problem?
Cheers

The roller dial next to the vent contols if you want fresh air on your face when you put hot air on your feet. Just turn up the temp and leave the aircon on, and it will defog and keep it warm... I have no idea about the clock.
i dunno about the clock, but heres the go with setting most car clocks
Turn it off and hold in each botton, one at a time, for a five secs, if that dont work, repeat with the unit on. You may have to try combinations (friggin excel clocks)
My pioneer you have to turn it off and hold the A button.... strange...

There is a product by Rain-X called "Anti-fog" it works fantastically. The only thing is you have to apply it very sparingly or it will fog up itself. If you over apply...just get a lightly dampened cloth and wipe over it to spread it out.
You wont get fog for months. It's a black bottle, the normal stuff they make that goes on the outside of the window is fantastic too, it makes the glass a perfectly smooth surface and rain just runs straight off.
Highly, highly recommended.

I think with the clock in the radio, you press and hold the volume button and press the scan button (top left).Left for hour right for minutes??

Bah!....I've tried everything now it can stay on 'Alaskan' time for all I care
Why make changing the time such an ordeal?.....would it not be simple just to press and hold the 'Time' button for 5 or so secs, then use the < > buttons to adjust time......?

Welllll...... :D
Its an 1989 Nissan SVD R31 Skyline GTSII, 158 of 200 made.
They Run a 140kw NA RB30e which I was'nt happy with so I bolted a Hiflowed T3 turbo with T4 internals to the side of the 9.0:1 Comp ratio 186'000km standard bottom end :D , with big Bosch 036 injectors, JPC Cam, Wolf 3D v4 EMS, Izusu Truck Intecooler, & full 3" exhaust it produced 280rwHP on just 9psi
No turbo lag whatsover and Soooo much instant torque available using the NA bottom end, it will light the tyres in 3rd in the dry by simply applying to much throttle....in the wet it is very dangerous, with wheelspin coming at any speed in any gear.....seriously!
It also runs a 5 puck brass button clutch, Mini Spool diff, and Koni adjustable suspension with King springs, I use it mainly as a toy, and run it mainly in Track days (Barbegello, Collie Powerhouse) as well as drift days, and the odd bit of Drag racing.
Anyway the bottom end has just let go after 12 months of 'Hammer Time' (broken piston ring ) :D so I am currently rebuilding it with slightly lower compression (around 8.5:1....normal VL Turbos run 7.8:1) so I can run more Boost....ie More Power and still retain minimal lag ;)
Should get 380rwHP
Sorry for the rant

I did once but prefer not to talk about it :(
Traction was a problem when its matched with a button clutch & matched to some very average street rubber resulted in a dismal 13.8
MPH was good however at 109 or 175.2 KMH.
A mate of mine in an R31 with slightly less HP runs a 12.6 at 107mph.
I won't be going back to the drags until they introduce NASCAR rolling style starts

Yet another silly question :(
I noticed last night while I was standing near the car that it locked it self up by itself after a few minutes  and a Security light was visible on the dash.
Soooo...I opened the car up again and left it unlocked....but it never locked itself again, even after 1/2 hr or so?
Whats the deal with that?
if you unlock the car but don't open a door within a certain time it will relock itself, but if you open a door it won't lock.
And as far as fogging up your windows if the switch for recycled or fresh air is in the recycle mode (to the left) the windows fog up alot quicker.

Hmm, Mine will lock itself if only the front doors have been opened and the car was opened with the remote. If the rear doors have been opened then it will stay unlocked. (TH Sports.)
