About a month ago I brought a 1996 KS(?) V3000 as a parts car for my 1993 KR V3000. I basically brought it for the A/C and the electric windows (not to mention the clear para's), none of which my car has.

I brought it knowing that the auto didn't work. When I got it i found that the gearbox had no fluid so I thought that maybe all it needed was fluid (maybe an axle seal leak) which I then added. Still no joy :cry: .

I'm not going to spend any major money on this but I'd love to get this going as a dirt track car (basically a derby without the smash up part. So the car can be used again and again).

Any ideas what the problem might be? When it's in gear there is a faint clicking. I'm not expecting to be able to fix it (cheaply) but thought it was worth asking the question.

Thanks for the reply. I suspect the drive or friction plates being burnt (or something similar) as the previous owner was already having problems and then decided to tow a trailer up a hill :redface: where the car gave it up completely.

Is the oil pump and filter easy to get to? I've got a workshop manual so I think a little reading is called for :cry:
