hi, i tryed the search button before asking, but couldnt find anything on this.
my car is a 94 v6 5spd man and the guy i bought it from had it from new. unfortunately i dont have any pictures, but the car (from what this guy has told me and i believe) is some sort of dealer package 'special'
the car is an exec, but has a (i think) verada front end and alloys, spoiler, two tone and extra badging (which says 'hunter gt')
not sure which dealer in wa it was but has anyone heard or have one of these packages?
just curious

I was told i also too had a dealer run out. HAd some stupid badging on the back and came color coded from factory.
Yours sounds damn hot and very rare! post up some pics once u get the chance?
Why they would put a verada front bumper on it is wierd though.....But it is probably a dealer special....

that sounds like what happened in the first gens.
GLX
EXEC
SE
ELITE
ELANTE
now thats the first gen's
but in the tp line they made 1000 execs into gt's Grand touers (bs)
by the end of that year they made another 500 gt's and 500 safari wagons.
now there's nothing on the compliance plates and they didn't have gt badges either. they had bit from elite (front spoiler/pin stripe) elante (stiffer suspenion).
also tm terror has a 1986 tm challenger (dealer optioned) and it's the maddest kit on a first gen ive ever seen , plus ive never seen another.
so in all likely hood he could be right on the mark or just wants to get rid of it fast. but it sounds dinkum.
Interesting with the front bumper as there is no difference between a TS and a KS front
bumper. However, the KR front bumper is the extended one with the parkers in the bumper
(like KE - KJ veradas) instead of in the headlight cluster. So, is yours the extended one or
the normal colour coded one? Or are you just refering to it having the KS parabolic head
lights and grill?

It's definitely a KS front end (lights and grille). The 2 tone looks made! Though i'm a little biased, my TR was 2 tone.
A late TS boot garnish would finish off that car nicely :).
Hmmm, interesting, very interesting. Lets see:
Wheels are from the Magna SE range
Headlights are from KS Verada
Grill is from KS Verada
Front indicators are from the Magna
Two tone paint is typical of KR/KS Verada Xi and TR Magna Elite
Rear bumper is from the Magna
Front bumper is from TR/TS Magna or KS Verada
Boot garnish is from TR magna

gotta say though, dealer runout or not, the v6 and manual combo sure opened my eyes to magna's, they are not slow at all..... but i still love my Vette more.lol

yeah... im no where near full bottle on magna's, but i knew it wasnt normal.... i found out also about the guy who sold it to me, he can be trusted, so it must have been some dealer special or something
They're also TS tail lights.
The TR/TS taillights are the same

I suspect the extra badge on the boot came of a Hillman Hunter GT.
Sorry.

Sorry correction they are TR tail lights, they are very similar, but the TS tail lights don't have the chrome bit through the middle, they are black.

Good spotting. This car seems to have been made from the TR/TS/KS spare pars bin. Dodgy as.

Its still cool though he has parras standard on a non KS car.

i reckon its just a stocko tr executive and theyve thrown on ks parras and grille, painted the two tone and thrown on the alloys, wouldnt have cost a great deal to do really

I think a few dealers made up "Special" versions of many cars.
Made special orders on the assembly line to pick up a few special/different parts or fitted them after delivery to the yard. Often used these to promote sales or as demo cars.
I used to know a guy (back around 1975-1980 time ) who used to get a 'special assembly line' ordered Holden Ute each year (he must have known someone). The ute would come with lots of extras like V8, etc. but get delivered to a caryard as a stock standard 6cyl, etc. Great way to get a cheap car with the works.

Ok, refresh my memory, whats that??
The Hillman Hunter was a late 60's, early 70's small 4 cylinder 1725 cc sedan. It had a GT version.
Early on one of them won the London to Sydney rally although that car was especially strengthened in the body. 2 sheets of metal went into the press for each panel!!!!!

yes well dealers bein dealers, theyre out to make as much profit as possible, but yeh sounds like that this car isnt as radical or different as it first seemed, just a fancy way of gettin rid or old stock

well thats exactly what mistu did for the tp gt. it was a exec with elite front lip, tn atom alloys, pinstripng and it's badge said mitsubushi and the complyance plae didn't say a thing. theres a few members with them. so i recon this sticker being the same as the old hillman a crock or very unlikely. look at tm terrors car, his had a custom body kit from the factory put on as a dealer special. his was a challenger , now of all the time ive spent looking for info on the first gens , ive never come across any info on the challenger. didn't know it was real untill i asked him about it.
anyway i like the look of weekdays car and think he did better than most ppl.alot of the time u have to start off with something stock to begin with.
i in my opinion i think it could be what the dealer says it is.
my dad used t own a hunter hillman and there badge looks nothing like that and they used cast metal back in those days for badge, not a vinyl sticker:nuts:
nice car anyway dude:D

There use of KS Lights and Grille, Mixed with TR/TS Indicators is a weird one, i would of thought they would of used the whole grille assembly.
Interesting.
