Hey lads,
Went into Mitsubishi today and asked if i could fit a VRX kit to my 2001 TJ Sports...
They said i cant... becuase of the front being different on the Sport or something...they said the only kits that fit will be the "Ground Effects" Kit..
Is this true?
Anyone got a "Ground Effects" Kit on their Car that they can show me pics of...?
Cheers

wtf are they on about????
just take your number plate of and put one of the half against it and you will clearly see it fits.
the VRX kit will fit all TH and TJ's series I and II

its partly true cause IIRC the genuine VRX bars have the tabs pre-cut whereas the regualar bars need them drilled. so it can with a slightly bit more work.

they probably looked up the part numbers for the vrx bumper and th bumper, saw they were different and without knowing it was jus 2 holes, said no.

*sigh* Some dealers don't know much. I asked whether an evo vi spoiler would fit on my TR, they said no, it went straight on with no mods.
And i think KB asked mits if the DOHC would fit in his 2nd gen and they said no, heh!

I have the ground effects kit on my car, luckily I got the last kit in the warehouse but there are still a couple floating around here and there.
As for the VRX kit it'll fit with minor adjustments here and there. If you want some advice contact SSV they supply a clone of the VRX kit and fit them or a panel beater who has worked on one before.
Good luck mate.

I can guarantee you it will fit with some modification. I actually had a VRX bar come with my kit - it's just a standard bar with ALOT of small holes drilled along the length of it, so you can screw the kit in from behind. You will be able to do it yourself - just look where all the screws are in on the other side, and drill out the holes.
Also remember, if buying the kit, you should get the rubber trim.strip that actually seperates the kit from where it joins the body of the car.

if you want to buy those rubber strip from mitsi you will have to sell an arm and a leg for a thin piece of rubber lol
if your kit dosnt have it you can use sickaflex
