I've noticed that the plastic panel (the whole piece on which the PRND32L is printed on it) that the gear shifter sits inside of which in turn sits within the centre console is loose.

When in Park or Low you can move the other end (respecitvly) from left to right. In drive, as it is in the middle, it isn't as bad since the shifter stick seems to hold it better. The whole console doesn't move.. just the square piece with the hole cut out for the shifter moves.

Is this factory or has something come loose? Can anyone help?

Try taking off your consoles and finding out what's wrong,if not prolly a mitsi service place should help u
