What do u guys use to clean the windscreen (as in solution and cloth type).
Tried window cleaner and it does not come up too good.
Any suggestions on what to use, especially the detailers, who do a hektic job at it!

Water on the outside... everything else leaves a mess...
From the inside... I use the alcohol cotton cloths. From the carwash.

Use a clay bar on it.
I found this makes my windscreen as good as new
Also get new blades, or if your current ones are ok clean them with a rag.
I use meguiars Window Cleaner and its ace, does a great job and leaves inside smelling like a fruitbowl...top stuff

As tuffy said... claybar; and then microfibre glass polishing cloth. You dont have to use any solutions with it... no water, solvent, nothing... it does a *** awesome job. No streaks at all either. :D

So...
Outside:
Just water
or clay bar.
Inside:
Cotton cloths from the carwash
or Meguiars window cleaner
with a microfibre glass polishing cloth.
What about the inside of tinted windows. Chemical cleaners are out. So, just water?

There is a special product you can buy that's specifically made for that job. It's called "High performance films" tinted window treatment. My gf's dad got it through Toyota so I guess Supercheap and the like are worth a shot.

What's wrong with just metho and water on a rag then wiping it dry with a clean rag immediately... works on our commodore which is darkest legal tint and that gets done every time we wash it.. no problems yet.

i use kitten window cleaner (about $6 a bottle) and meguiars polishing cloths.. used them from the word go on my tinted windows and they still look as good as the day they got done..
front windscreens can be a bastard at times.. just spray on a fair bit of window cleaner, let soak for a minute and then wipe lightly with some steel wool.. then wipe off as much as possible with a cloth, then using another CLEAN cloth, buff it like crazy.. might need doing in this process a few times, but it should get there..

I use Chem Spec See Thru on mine and my g/f's car... get it for free from work (lets hope my boss doesn't read this aye ;)) comes up like new... clean the out side with steel whool, and the inside with 2 rags.

Also recommend after cleaning to grab some RainX and apply it to the outside and inside of the windows. You will appreciate it next time it rains or is foggy, trust me.

i actually use johnsons no more tears baby shampoo because it has no chemicals
i started using it when i went to tint my windows on my other car my self they told me to clean the window and use that and then soak the window with that just before you apply the tint (use a spray bottle 3 tea spoons/rest water)
but yeh after i tinted the windows i had the spray bottle next to me and thought hmm well it has no chemicals plus its safe under the tint why not and it actually does a good job and doesnt smear, easly gets off grime and bugs on the outside too, plus it smells fresh and baby like lol

hey,
when i do the outside i use 3M glass cleaner and a lint free cloth, the 3M stuff comes in a pressure pack and is awsome and smells killa, and for the inside because im a smoker i get that awful residue left on the inside that just smears, i found that when u use a kanubra oil based wax polish it takes it straight off no hassles no smears, just wipe if off with some cheese cloth and
bobs ur uncle your windows are sex!
