hey guys i have been offered the following amps

$150 for XTA360.2
$200 for XTA480.4
(second hand)

they are both soundstream...just wondering if those are good prices and if the amps are any good or just a pretty face cos they look damn cool!

Soundstream gear is generally pretty decent quality mate... but as for the prices... i'm not so sure whether they're a good deal or not. Afaik, soundstream stuff is well, not highly priced, but its not cheap either.

im gonna talk the guy down a bit but yeah...im just wondering if its just ****e stuff like sony but apparently not....looks like i might grab the 2 channel ;)

Awesome... yeh i heard one of their 1000wrms 15" subs in a little TS astra... all i can say is OMG!!!:shock:

Err dude, soundstream range from a couple of hundred up to 12k for their gear ;) (my amp retails at $2999)
I have an entire soundstream setup and i'm more than happy with it. XTA model number i think is the Xstream series? Migth have to double check that, but they Xstream series are the base range of amps, and generally good value for money.

i knew somebody had all soundstream, yeah it is the cheaper side of stuff but im thinking that the amp looks good and as long as it does the job its worth it :D

Yeah, well i had the Lil' Wonder amp before my current one, they're like the next one up from xstream i think, and that was great for the price.. those amps seem to be at a good price, jsut amke sure you're getting real stuff and not chinese copies from ebay ;)

yeah im buying to from a bloke near my house how has the receipts from garys car audio so its all genuine stuff :)
