I think I know now why my car vibrates so much...

Does anyone know where I can get some 2nd gen mounts cheaply on Brisbane's northside? The one behind the rad has gone too.

I'm no expert but that bit of torn rubber makes me think it's pretty well ****ed.

EDIT: read your post wrong, sorry for the irrelevant answer.

So the engine mounts should have a full circle bit of rubber with no tears. Pros something I'll check out tommorow. If they screwed then get them replaced when I get my timing chain done.

In the 2nd Gen the Autos don't have a full rubber they have little gaps like in the above picture

The manuals however have rubber all the way around..

not like it matters but i have an Auto one in my roller mount (the one at the front) and it is fine..

I picked mine up for nothing lol but i have freinds anyway don't pay more than $20-$30 for a 2nd hand one and they cost an arm and a leg from MMAL

I thought that looked like it was supposed to have that gap at the top. Weird. They must have thought the autos didn't need so much damping.

There are four, one on each side, and one on each end of the engine.

Try Repco if you want new ones. They used to advertise lower cost non-Mitsu replacements.

Thanks for that. I'll give them a try.
