So, as stated above...my car's sounding like a wrx...
The engine is also running very rough and is very low on power...
I'm guessing its one of the rear bank spark plugs...but could it be anything else? bad fuel? filter? etc...?
Thanks in advance.

I believe he's running a DOHC as i am. Mine sounds similar when cold ie running a bit rich, it definately has a bit of a boxer note though with the 24v... :S
Let us know if you find anything.

Chronically out of tune? you didn't happen to adjust the distributor timing or affec that in some way? loose nut?!
The Magna has one one nut but I see some other cars have two...

You said "The engine is also running very rough and is very low on power..."
Okai so what is probably happening is that one of your clydiners isnt running correctly.
Could be that an injector isnt firing, but more likley one of your spark plugs isnt firing.
Make sure all the plugs are connected properly, all your leads are in good condition and the dizzy is in good shape.
A filter wouldnt cause this type of problem, unless there was something serously wrong with it, like someone replaced the filter with a block of wood lol

yeah i had a block of wood in myne, drilled some holes in the wood to let some air through and it worked fine :)

Check your spark plug leads, if u take one or to off it makes our V6's sound very WRX'y

Classic misfire... :doubt:
Check your plugs, leads, injectors... and if they all pass do a compression test, and let us know the results.

If it sounds like a real WRX, i don't know what the hell you're complaining about, the soobs have a fantastic note (providing people don't ruin it with a canon)

So are you sure you dont indeed have a WRX engine under the hood?

as people have already correctly stated one or more cylinder isnt firing or is misfiring etc...
take each plug lead off one at a time with engine running and find out which one isnt making a difference to how the car runs. if 2 cylinders next to each other arent firing you may have blown the head gasket between the cylinders( and no this doesnt mean water will be coming out ur exhaust) if u have blown the gasket the 2 cylinders will be backfiring past each other and does give a very rough lawnmower or wrx sounding note as well as power loss. good luck keep us posted. oh btw what were u doing when u first noticed this?? revving to 7000rpm by any chance?? well at least thats how i did mine
