Sounds like you'll be a busy boy.

As for the brakes... any idea on what pads you're using?

Don't forget to post back and tell us how much all this work cost, whether you're happy with it, noticed a difference afterwards etc.

You're talking about the V-belts right?

Theres a tensioner for each of them. You'll need to loosen this off first.

am assuming you cant get the belt off over the big nut??
On the splash guard there is a snap on cover, remove it and feed the belt through over the nut.
best explanation i can do, am at work

Na the tensioner bolt for the air con belt (I think air con) was screwed so I had to take it in to the auto elecs so they could loosen the bolt cos I didnt have time. Its alrite, they did it with an hours notice and cost me $35.
BTW I have been quoted $800-$900 by my dads business' mechanic, so I geuss that aint too bad.

Took the car in today and got told that the oil pump may need to be replaecd as well   . It is an uncommon cause of the timing chain going limp but there is no way to tell if its damaged until changing the chain and hearing if the noise remains. If this needs doing it jumps the cost of m list from $850 up to $1300 if he does it at the same time as the chain or $1500ish if he has to take the motor apart again.

Ok all done.:D
He didn't replace the mount cos he said it still had plenty of life left and they only need replacing when the cross bar of the mount touches the base of the mount. So much smoother and so much quieter, it's now the zorst making all the noise when cruising, untill I pump it then the engine roars.
