Not sure where this thread belongs, but here goes.
In just less than 2 weeks i'm driving up to queensland where i'll be until mid feb. I was hoping to get my ralliart kit painted and fitted but due to time constraints this wont be possible. So i'll need to get it painted in queensland if i take it up with me.
Here's the problem, would it bad if i travelled with the kit on unpainted? I was thinking of wrapping it in glad wrap or something to help protect it, but is this just foolish? I know it'll look stupid, but i'm trying to think of practicality more than looks.
Would mounting the kit cause trouble for the painters later on?
Any advice would be appreciated. Worst case scenario i can't put it on until i get back in feb :(.
Cheers,
Leigh.

a mate of mine has had an un pinted kit for the past 2 yeahs on his Nissan EXA, apart from the fact he has just about trashed the front lip (too low) the kit is still fully paintible.

It will just need to be cleaned before you paint it.
Although you will look like joe dirt. :P

Won't be a prob Leigh and would be the best idea. If you need someone to paint it when you get up here, let me know cause I know a guy who will do you a good deal.

I've already bought the paint (matched) so it'll just be a matter of priming and painting, so i'll let you know when i get up :). Rav has also suggested someone so i'll see whoevers the cheapest because i don't have a lot of money left over from the kit + paint.
Thanks for the reassurance guys :). At least you'll know me if you see me lol.
Now i've just gotta get the bastard fitted before i go.

Leigh they will need to take it off to paint it, so u might be without the car for a week. might be better to wait unless its really cheap in QLD. better to drive around stock.

That will suit me actually as i'll be coming down to vic 22nd dec - 7th jan, so i can drop it off at their shop while i'm down here. I'm sure one of the qld guys will pick it up for me if needed :).
