finally got the TH to TJ boot job done so I thought i'd attach the pics (sorry not the best pic of the final project)

everything was pretty smooth till I bolted on the TJ lid and realised it wasn't lining up correctly. It took about 3hrs (which for a job that I thought would've taken 30mins)

took a few twists of the boot, pulling the bottom of the lid outward and just a few knocks with the hammer to get the latch over a few mil but once it was lined up I found the TJ wiring for the number plate needed to be cut and I couldn't do a straight clip in.

aside from that, everything else looks sweet, but I do need to get a lock barrel for the boot & get it polished to blend with the rear.

very happy with the final result so far and loving the black tinted lights.

Man that looks heaps better.....Me thinks about doing the same. If you dont mind how much was the boot and respray.

Or would you be interested in selling the chrome boot garnish of the TH booth

the boot set me back $275 and then to respray it was about $300 as it needed a couple of holes welded etc.

sorry but i sold the old boot and lights to the wreckers straight away (didn't have the room in my apartment)

looks good. its a great mod for relatively little money.

i did the TF to KJ boot conversion a little while ago.
aligning the boot was the hardest part. i ended up getting a mate to lie in the boot whilst i moved the lid into place and then he did the bolts up. worked a treat.

yeah wasn't too expensive at all and it was definately money well spent.

haha, i know the issues you went thru with having a mate lie down in the boot (i actually contemplated that at one stage)

all lights are visible easily and the globes in it are just the standard tj globes and wiring.

not sure if the tail lights are legal or not but i'm pretty sure that they are fine.

not so sure if it is legal, i have HEARD... [dont quote me on this lol] that its illegal, best thing is ask the police! i went down to the copshop and asked my mates dad about a few mods i was interested in, and what p platers can and cant drive. they are reasonable people.

i remember first time i met my mates friend, trying 2 convince my father we would be with a responsible adult watching springnats cruising when i was about 15 years old, then we hear "hurry up boys we are missing the burnouts!"

The bootlid and spoiler are white and they are located in Sydney.

I have the Altezza taillights to suit.

If you want to have tinted lights, just tint it BUT leave the reflector alone.
