Hello people!
Now, just wondering, with my radio, every time I turn off the car, when i hit "power" on the stock radio it will ask me for the code. So i have to put in the code each time i turn on the car.
Now, would this be a problem with the head unit or with the wiring? This has been happening ever since i got the car, it's just i haven't been bothered taking it to someone to have a look at.
And i don't want to replace my stock head unit with an aftermarket one because i like the stock head unit.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated :D

probem with the radio memory chip take to be repaired
hmmm maybe, or could be the permanent power wire being connected accessories.

Should be 1 wire to permanant power and 1 to acc. If the perm 1 is not right you loose the memory every time you turn it off..:D

From recent experiences I'd say that the previous owner reinstalled the stock unit before you bought the car, and stuffed up the wiring. If it is the wiring it's a simple matter of rewiring it correctly, otherwise you will have to put up with it or buy another headunit.

Hey guys thanks for all the replies! :D

Sounds like it's the wiring because it loses the memory every time i turn the car off!
Cool! I'll get it checked up then :)

Yeah it's wiring and _MetalliX_ sounds spot on...
They had an aftermarket system and cbf wiring it up properly, expect to see masking tape joins behind there.

This may help...

Peace
