So because of the pod now your car revs out higher and doesn't slow down when changing gears? :bowrofl:
Good job on the mod.

Disciple how about not being so sarcastic on every single post. It looks like the guy has done a nice job. How about saying something positive. Sure say that an exposed pod in an engine bay isnt a great idea.

I think it's highly likely any improvment you can feel is placebo effect. How much did the POD cost you? An open air-pod is just gonna suck hot air from the engine bay and probably detract from performance, but hopefully you already know this, and just wanted the POD for induction noise (god knows why, with an auto daewoo), and the wanky factor. In which case, it looks nice, and you probably like the noise, so congrats.

Spending money on a Daewoo or Hyundai to do it up is tricky, as you don't know whether to spend more than its worth or more than it cost. If you were to take the first option, filling the tank with premium should do it, for the latter there's more interesting methods you can choose :D
On a serious note, its a pretty sweet job you did there looks wise! Should get one of those heat shield pods (they're available here aren't they), then attach a pipe down to get air from a cooler spot. That way you have the advantage of the pod filter and CAI! Should be a bit better, especially when the engine is hot.
The problem where it is at the moment, like others have said, is that a heat shield or pod cover without piping won't really serve much of a purpose. The heat issue is from the air, the ambient heat won't be too much of an issue especially with the filter material (which doesn't absorb heat very well). Hot air will still be sucked heat shielding in place or not.
Good job anyways, mine won't look that good when I get around to doing it!

Power increase may be due to an extremely restrictive stock intake setup, and/or blocked stock air filter element.
Btw, looks sweet mate!
