Hi all,

I've done a search but couldn't find any conclusive results. Anyhow, I'm going for a test
fitment of 17x7 RJR Racer in Gunmetal with machined lip tomorrow morning and would like
to know those with AWD's and larger wheels, what size wheels and tyres they have, its
offset and how much clearance there is for the rear suspension arm.

Cheers all.
Vlad

I have 17*7 ROH Adrenalin with 235/45s. No clearance issues. Offset figures unknown - never bothered to measure. 235/45 is basically not authorised tyre for the rim, it being 7", but u can use 225/50. That would need to be my next tyre size, even tho the selection is quite limited if one wants to keep it at legal Load Rate 95

I have 235/45 17x7 with some diablo racer alloys. With no clearance issues. You should be fine. Rear suspension arm has about 15-20mm clearance, no evidence of rubbing. Will tell you soon how Advanti fluids 19x8 with 235/35 go.

That's interesting cos when I had a look at my stocko clearance, I've got about 15mm but
you say that you've got 15-20mm with the 17x7 inch wheels. What offset do you have?

Cheers,

I dont know what the offset is but they definitely fill the arches more than the stock wheels. I.e more positive offset.

Fill in it as in bigger diameter or more towards the suspension components or more towards
the outside because as far as I know, the more positive you go, the more it sits in.
Anyway, I just went to the Tyre Master website mentioned elsewhere on AMC and
according to the website, going from 215/60R16 with 16x6 46p to 225/50R17 with 17x7
40p should result in same clearance on the inside but sits out 11m further.

Thanks to those who've replied.

Cheers,
Vlad

Ralliart Enkei 17"s shod with GT Radial 235/45/17's.

Clearance to rear suspension arm is so small you cannot fit your little finger in between (yep, that close) but I regularly load the boot up with 150Kgs+ of audio gear and go on very spirited drives :doubt: - and no evidence of rubbing.

225's may be a better idea, but until I trash these tyres, I will keep them on.

YMMV.
