Depends on what model.

The earlier models had their trip computer on there, however on TJ2s (maybe TJ1s as well?) its only the oil, battery and seat belt reminder up there.

Veradas do still have a clock there and I have wondered about putting in a Verada display panel but have never managed to get around to investigate.

I have a TJII with the 3 warning lights in there, seems like kind of a waste to me. Does the verada one have the same 3 warning lights as well as a clock? How is the clock set?

TJ Series II Limited Edition VRX had a clock with the trip computer..

Always wanted one.. but after some investigation decided it wasnt worth the cost - Mitsubishi quoted about $500 or something silly..

I have one of these I picked up for $20, however the plug on my TJ is different, this is out of a TF.... not sure if it has a clock or not....

If anyone wants it just send 15 bucks my way and I'll post it out to ya

On the TJII's isn't there still a screen outline there though? Just nothing displayed?

Yup, a waste of space if you ask me :). It displays 3 warning lights when you first start the car, can't remember what they are off the top of my head.

I managed to install a clock from a wrecked TL magna into my TE (only had three warning lights there). I had to get the unit and the plug with some wires from the TL and a similar plug with some wires from a TF. This is to enable the warning lights to work as they are positioned differently with the clock there. You will also need the black panel in the system with the warning light pictures on them to allow the correct light to be displayed. I used the speed alarm buttons to adjust the clock as the speed alarm is not included on TE models. The wiring is similar to the clock wires for KR and KS models the only problems will come with the warning lights.

The warning lights will differ depending on model series as will the wires corresponding to them. you may have to obtain a service manual to get the colour codes. When finished, the clock had all functions, was backlit and dimmed when headlights were on. The speed alarm buttons were also backlit.

In models later than the TE such as my KH the clock where fitted, is adjusted in ACC mode as the speed alarm takes over the buttons when in the on position.

When wiring the clock make sure that both power wires are connected as one will control the memory of the clock and one will control the display.

hope this helps.
