How to fix a dent in the bumper? Are there special bumper repair kits available??
2nd, how can I obtain a paint that is of equal color as my car? I know at bunnings then can analyse the color, but that's not for car paint, is it?

If it's just the plastic that has been dented, you should be able to get it popped back out. Just take it off and get a rubber sledge hammer and tap it out slowly. Be careful not to snap/crack/split the bumper.
As for paint, any panel beater can match paint for you, pretty cheap usually too. Usually just need a paint code and fuel cap.

I tried that, but that didn't work out. It's not just a dent, it's a bit torn at the front and it's not a regular plastic, it's that bottom part of the bumper. It's plastic (I think), but it feels a bit like very thick card board.
Yeah, you're right, panel beaters should be able to match the color. Why if that fuel cap of any interest??

The plastic may need heating up, so might have to take it to a panel beaters. Would work out cheaper to just buy a 2nd hand bar i think.
Fuel cap is so that they can match the paint, they'll take your colour code, and then tint/lighten up the paint to match the fuel cap.

Darlings...... use a hair dryer to heat the bumper. If ya haven't got a hair dryer, 1stly why not? secondly use a electric fan heater. Direct the heated air towards your dented area for 5 or so minutes then get your hand in behind and pop it out!

that's the way to go, a heater or heatgun, easy to press out

I don't have a heatgun, but I do (yeah, really!!) have a hair dryer. You reckon that's really hot enough to do the trick??

Yep, I heated the very left hand corner of my TN's bumper and popped out the huge dent I put there when I mounted a Laser, and went past it on the two right side wheels like a stunt driver.
Just leave it on a chair directed at the bumper, have a coffee and pop....

I'm gonna try that! It's not a hugh dent, so it should be "easy" then.

That's not really the way I would align my wheels, but it is sure impressive :D

mmmm, yeah I know how that goes. Comming back from the coffee finding a fried bumper or hairdryer........ I better keep an eye on it...

the small tabs that hold the brackets on the end of the bumper, these usually break off, they can be welded on with a soldering iron
