On a bolt on the power antenna bracket  . I didn't wan't to drill any unnecessary holes in the metal

If you take off the side wall carpet (lhs), there should be a bolt that points to the bottom of the car. Have no idea what it holds, but just took that off, sanded the crap out of the metal under it and attached the earth to that, the put the bolt back on. Nice and easy, and more importantly, close to your amp.

If its the one im thinking of its one of the bolts that holds the rear bumper. I use it to.

I had mine running under the back seat and grounded on the bolt which holds the back in. :)

In summary man, just find a discretely located bolt, used a screwdriver to scrape away the paint, or sandpaper or whatever, then just wire it to the bolt.

Mine are mounted to the child restraint points on the underside of the parcel rack.

i was lazy, i used a seat belt clicky thingy bolt, to my rear batt, then grounded my amps from the batt

Child restraint from the underside and the bolt on the right hand side under the carpet with a 2 gauge linking the two to reduce ground loop.

As has been said, use a sanding block to make good contact with the chassis.

Keep it short and keep it as big as possible. 4, 2, or 0 gauge

Peace

Thanks for all the replies people. Currently I have my amp grounded to one of the RH rear strut tower bolts but I need to relocate it. The bolt in the pic that Poita posted would have been great to use but my KJ doesn't have any bolts there. I might rip up the factory sound deadening tomorrow and see if there is a threaded hole there.

if theres nothing there just get a metal thread screw and wack it into the floor of your boot with the ground cable under the head
thats how i did mine and it works no dramas
just make sure you dont drill into any wire etc
just check under the car aswell but it should all be sweet
