When I bought my TP sedan, the seller said he had replaced the passenger side door lock (maybe the whole door) with one from a wrecker. I didn't take much notice at the time because I was too busy assessing the mechanical condition of the vehicle.
I now realise this creates a slight problem. The keys don't fit that door, so I can only open it from the inside. This is a pain in the A when letting a passenger in because they have to wait for me to walk around to the other side, open the driver's door, reach across and open the passenger door.
I also have a TP wagon with an aftermarket central locking system. I thought of two alternatives:
(1) I could swap the passenger side door locks between wagon and sedan. I have spare wagon keys, so I'd then be able to open the sedan's doors from outside - just have to carry and distinguish between two keys. I could still open all doors on the wagon using its remote but only the driver's side with the key.
or
(2) I could fit an aftermarket central locking system to the sedan
Is there any other way of overcoming this other than buying a complete set of locks and keys all round?
