I just bought some under car neon’s for my TH magna, and I had a look under the body for the first time yesterday to have a look for some places to mount them but there don’t look like there are that many places to mount them.
I just want to know if anyone else has there third gen magna decked out with under car neon’s that could tell me where they have there’s mounted. Right now I have the two sides and the front mounted but there very close to the ground and I might crack them if I go over a speed hump.
Any help on this matter will be greatly appreciated.:D
Hmmm, go for LEDs. Can change colours, different patterns, etc.
But no I don't know about mounting spots. :P

first things first remove that bloody GTR sticker from the back.
Then the easiest way to do it is with very small 10mm metal self tappers just screw into the floor pan. just make sure you steer clear of fuel lines or wires and you will be fine.

hey mate i got full set of underglow led neons,if you got leds shouldnt have a problem wit crakin em,only if your like floorin it over speed bumps which is just stupid, they are also water proof as well,as for those other neons ppl like to call old skool neons they are the ones which may break.
i just went had a look at my neons so this is the best discription i could help you out with.
mine were installed by licence installers, first off for the rear look under neath, theres this bit where rear bumper folds over, the rear led neon should fit right in there, theres a lil gap just as long as the neon globe isnt shown or can be seen from standing out side your car.
as for the side neons, theres this long strip thingo it runs along i got no idea wat its called, but you should be able to run a led neon along that, its kind of complicated to explain but if ya have a look, you will se wat i mean.
as for the front, this is the one that the cops usualy get you in the **** for,its gota be faceing down so no 1 can see it,just below your intercooler thingo thats where mine is conected to,i had a look at the way mine are installed they attached with these straps they use to bundle wires together.
just please make sure you install em to the state laws if your doin this yourself,i have got a yellow sticker last month for my front neon, just make sure you can see the glow and not the globe itself.
hope ive helped:)
cheers,

I have my front neon installed just a bit back from the plastic lining that prevents stones flicking up under the engine, and it is in plane sight so I might have to fix that.
The side ones are screwed into the pieces of plastic just under the door panel, and I know what u mean by the small strip running from the front to the back that’s where the jacking points are located, from standing a distance away you can see them under the car.
The rear might be a bit tricky because i have a tow bar and a cannon exhaust which stops the neon from being placed in the middle under the lip of the body work.
But thanks for the advice i will have to get some Tec screws and try and hide them a bit, or i might try and save a bit of money to get them professionally installed.

Thanks for the advice about the bloody GTR sticker by the way I had no idea that was on my car for about a week until I had decided to clean it, my mates brother had two of them and put them on the back and the front, there off now but I think that pic is priceless.
I had a skyline I think it was a R33 beep at me I had no idea until I saw the sticker LMAO, he prob thought I was a real D*** head driving a magna with the GTR sticker on it.
And thanks for the advice i will be taking them off because one isnt working ATM so i will have to remount them after the trip to PT Hughes

Yeah, had same problem with my undercar LEDs - crawled under the car and realised that Magna's were not made for 'em lol
Front was fun - has too much hot stuff (exhausts, radiator, etc.). Ended up attaching it to the lower inside of the front bumper.
Rear was similar with the exhaust - ended up attaching it to the bar of the tow bar. (more to one side to keep it away from the exhaust)
Side ones as as said above - run along the inside of those metal strips under the car.
Went out and took some pics - cars dirty underneath, but you can get the idea...
I temporarily wired them up to make sure they worked then disconnected them. Still haven't wired them up properly lol (so they don't work at the moment) - not that you can use them anyway (illegal). One of the best fun mods that you can't use. :bowrofl:

They're not illegal to have fitted to your car - only illegal to use on the road. (in Vic.)
I think it has something to do with what coloured lights you can have facing what direction.
eg.
Only red lights facing rearward (like your tail & brake lights), so if you have undercar red lights - you can see these from the sides & front as well.
Only white (headlights) facing front, so if you have white undercar lights then you can see them from the rear.
etc.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

These lights are only illegal if you use them while driving on a public road. If u use them during a car show or on private roads then it is not illegal.
U can have them on the car on public roads as long as they are not on. :D

Just installed the front neon under the front bumper, what a head**** i had to take the plastic bits off the ones near the fog light holders.
I have also taken off the side ones until I get some TEC screws or i will just have to use zip ties :bowrofl: that will look even better if i get pulled over by the cops :bowrofl:
But the rear neon is going to be another head**** because of my cannon exhaust I might try and do what GRDPuck did and move it away a bit and ZIP TIE it to the tow bar :bowrofl:

in WA your allowed to have neons on while driving
they are only illegal if you can see the neon itself
so if they are tucked away out of sight its all good

well cause i was pulled over by transport oficers acordin to them there only aloud to be white neons which is bull,if it was a local police oficer any colour is fine, there just not aloud to be flashing, and the globes(led lights) are not aloud to be seen from any angle, only the glow on the road is aloud to be shown, for any1 that doest want to get yellow stickered and doesnt have a body kit i highly recomend tapeing up the sides of the neon lights, one time i got pulled over(before my body kit install) and the police rekoned they could see my neons and got away wit a warning, later that week i taped up my neons wit black tape so you cant see the globe.
acordin to the state laws its a distraction to other vehicles thats why you can only have the glow on the road showing not the neons itself.
i highly recomend gettin a licenced installer to install neons for you, that way they are installed to the state laws in your state.and you will have no worries with getting a yellow sticker or fined:)

In SA, we can get defected for just having them installed, let alone using them. It's the same principal as a turbo timer. If it's wired in, it's illegal, irrespective of wether you are using it or not.
If you get a yellow sticker, then everything will get checked at Regency, and you'll have to remove almost every mod to pass. Undercar neons/LEDs aren't worth the hassel here.
