Hi all, I am not trying to be rude or obnoxious here but I want FACTS there have been many posts on this topic but I don't feel there getting any where.

I have been studing the wiring diagrams as this is my trade and have got together some of the harness electrical differences and manual / auto is a big difference, auto to tip so far is it uses the old 1st 2nd 3rd outputs as the tipronic inputs and 4 different outputs for the dash lights 1st 2nd 3rd 4th. Both require ECU changes as I don't think dummy feedback loops would be possible.

I am after FACTS only.
Has anyone actually had a conversion done for real.
Any quotes with a full breakdown of components required.

I have always wanted to do something like this, all the triptronic does is take the gear change away from the ecu and put it into your hands. And by pressing up or down on the lever a 12volt signal is sent. Sliding the lever across cuts the normal signal. It should be possible to have a switch to take it into sports mode then a couple of buttons on the steering wheel for the + and - gear changes. Need someone in the electronic trade

Electronics is one area of my trade and I have compared the circuits of the Stan Auto against the Tip and found 8 pins which are used differently on the 2 ECUs which would make the definately non interchangeable as follows.

I have contacted Mitsu Aust tech department and they have told me that the invecsII standard Auto and the Tipronic Auto are different gearboxes and not interchangeable.
The ECUs are different.

With this information I feel that the only conversion now worth persuing is Auto(either type) to Manual. so we start again.
