as the heading suggests..
whipped out a can of special caliper paint and slapped it on over the weekend... (well i had the car in the air to do the front and rear engine mounts so... may as well)
i think it looks good.. now all i need is bigger rotors and brakes lol

How much effort was involved in that, cos I want to paint mine red, or black...it will be a spur of the moment decission.

well i did it properly (took everything off)
and it took a few hours (left overnight 2 dry of course)
if you did a mask and paint job prolly take you less... and you could drive within 2 hours

Ditto.
And if you dont have twin piston brakes, i suggest getting some first (If its a V6 you can use the same rotor) Calipers are about $50 each from the wreckers.
You might need new brake lines made up ($33 Each from ABS)
And of course Pads ($40 standards)
I gave mine literally about 8 coats of the stuff, so im sure it should stick good.
Just have to do the puny Rear brakes now.

I did mine 3rd gen without needing to take the caliper off. You need time, approximately a whole day, good sunny weather, dedicated caliper paint, and masking tape and newspaper.

Not a difficult thing to do if you have NOTHING to do with your free time.

Comes Yellow, Red, Blue mostly.

Cheers!

Oh and my opinion is I think the blue is prtty nice, but Red will make it stand.

VHT caliper and drum paint.. around $14 i think from memory from autobarn.. supercheap has another brand.. didnt find it to be as good..

id also recommend getting the clear one and giving it a few coats of that.. makes them even shinier..
