i have 2 subs in my boot that sound great inside the car but outside the vibrating from the boot lid totally drowns out the music. with my magna i used a heap of silicon stuff inbetween the top of the boot lid and the metal support stuff underneath it. it made a huge difference but is there a quicker/easier way that is pretty cheap?

the only way to get rid of the boot rattle is to sound deaden the boot lid
its the best way to do it
either stinger roadkill or dynamat should do the trick
cant remember how much it costs for the kits but your local audio shop ahould be able to help you out

I shoved foam (LOTS OF IT) into the actuall garnish, accessed from inside the boot lid.
The Septone body deadner ($40 for 4L) is still a great product to use if you want to sound deaden on a budget.
A piece of rubber from clark rubber behind the number plate should fix that problem.
Also i had a few loose screws in the bumper which somehow squeaked with every bass beat, so i tightened them and yeah all good now.

Good Ol Blue tac did the job (kinda) for me. Number plate garnish made a hardcore rattle sound, now its just the boot lid itself but its more of a slight vibration.

its not the number plate or wing its the actual boot lid
