Dad has strap things either riveted or bolted somehow in both of his cars, can't provide any specifics about how it's done or with what, but I think he used that webbing strap stuff, running from one side of the boot to the other. I think it even has those plastic snap clip things so you can completely remove it, length adjusters, etc.
Keeps the tool boxes etc firmly in place, think I'll look into doing it on mine as well (though I could just strap the stuff to my cargo barrier I guess)

wide band velcro glued to the items needed worked wonders in my toyota...
but the non-loop carpet in magna boots doesnt stick to velcro at all.... bah.
im interested in a sollution to this as well... beyond boot nets.

I've seen a few rubber boot mats for the magna on ebay at times. It covers the whole boot floor and apparently stops things from sliding around.

Hmm, got my rubber bootmat from Supercheap for 39. They work pretty well to secure stuff. Another cheap suggestion would be to use ocky straps (elastic straps with hooks) secure to the handles and to the ends of the boot floor where you get the wooden panel covering the spare wheel.

I gots stuff strapped down in my boots, stops 'em from hitting my CD changer.
I use drawer rubber mat material under the box (grips it to the carpet)
then use elastic bungy hook straps to the edges of the sedan's plywood floor.
Slightly easier in the wagon as the floor has got tiedowns provided.

check out big W they sell a grey matting similar to the stuff you use for undoing jar lids or that you can use on workbenches to grip timber, works pretty good without any tiedowns. about $16 to do the boot.
