im thinking of putting in a low restriction X-force CAT converter in? around $220 is it worth it? i allready have x-force free flowin rear muffler, and i hope to get some extractors for good price some day anyway

Depends on the condition of your current cat or whether you're pushing alot of exhaust through it. If the cat is old or damaged then it's likely that it's worth it.

Got any more info on this cat?
Mines needs replacing soon and i'll be looking into a high flow cat/exhaust.

Generally......not really.

I put one in when I got my extractors + piping done for the sake of completeness. If your going to get one, get a 'metal cat', not a ceramic cat as they flow better (and of course cost more).

I won't say whether worth it or not because its one of those debatable mods it seems, and I haven't seen any data to back up yay or nay, for a magna at least.

nah bro, i was talked out of it by the place where i got my extractors and zorst done, hes said the price just doesnt justify the gains, then he showed me a cat of a vn commo and held it up the one of the hi-flo's, and the vn cat was much larger, then he showed me what actually makes a catalytic converter "high flow" basically theres a lip inside the cat at each end just before the flanges on a normal cat, a high flow cat doesnt have these lips or any thing else that may disrupt smooth air flow, its not like theres less material or whatever in side the cat, cos that would be illegal, and car manufacturers already put the minimum amount in there any way as to not hinder the performance any more than they already have to in order to pass the emission tests blah blah blah etc.... youd be better off punching a hole in your standard one with a broom handle haha.... might get some flames spittin out the back to, thats what mine used to do when the cat wore out :D
