Not happy with the fabric seats in my TL. Only about 18 months old and the fabric is already wearing out. The stuff is only wearing out in one place but looks awful and its not like im in and out of it all the time!

Think ill get leather next time. Hopefully it will prove more hardy. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what recomendations you had. I dont think it can be covered under warranty after all.

i worked in the auto uph sales game for years and i have leather interior for looks only cloth is much much better!!!

there are cloths that last much longer and cloth requires nothing to look after it, leather has to be taken care of otherwise it cracks looks **** etc...

have you got some throw over seat covers?
i would invest in some of these

Its the side panel the rest of the seat is fine. Not from jeans i dont think. Think i might put covers from old car in!

I know you said it's wearing out, but it reminds me of something I did in my old car (and plan on doing in a couple of weeks)

Those carpet shampoo things you get from woolies for like 40 bucks for 24 hours, grab one of those and the cleaning stuff get a friend to go halves.. or do your house while youre at it, pull your seats out and all your interior carpets etc lay them all out in the shade and give them a serious going over. Let them all air dry and while your carpets out sound deaden it and then put it all back together and it looks brand spankin' new!


(Just don't get things TOO wet and be gentle)
