Just wondering
1) Is there any easy way of getting them apart? The bolts are off but the sealant still keeps it together :(

2) Do the belts or oil pump or anything like the oil pick up need to be taken off from the engine when doing this?

some of them have a thread on both sides where you can put a bolt in and wind it down
sort of like a brake drum

and no you only need to drop the starter motor and the exhaust

Yeah took the extractors off
Was thinking starter motor as well considering it was in the way of some bolts

Is there any tricks to taking the starter motor on and off?

And what do you mean with the bolts? Didn't quite understand

How do I take the starter motor off?

Also any tips in dropping sump and crank case? It has some sealant and it's stuck on

Anyway...
Everything is off

For anyone planning on doing this:

Starter motor has 2 bolts. The starter motor cover needs to come off. One bolt is clearly visible where the starter motor is and the other is on the other side (ie, the thread screws onto the starter motor). It's located very close to the front engine mount on the passanger side. A pain to get out

Sump and crank case removal:
I tried taking the sump out first and then the crank case thinking the oil feed could foul something if I took crank case with sump cover on. It doesn't however. Easiest way is unbolt all the bolts which are connected to the crank case cover, and there is a piece of metal sticking out from the block and the crank case cover with about 1.5cm clearance between the two. Once the bolts are out just wedge something in there and move it around until the crank case cover works itself loose.
You'll also need to take out the dipstick line. Part of it is screwed onto the block and this bolt is a pain to get out also. I just slided the dipstick line out of the crank case cover. You'll need to reseal this however
As mentioned extractors need to be taken off also.
All in all pretty straight forward just keep an eye out for whatever might get in the way and take note of what bolts there are
