well i got my plenum and ralliart extractors put on (exact same as HM extraxrtors)

i got a new Y pipe made up he did a very good job with that much less restrictive

anyhooo, drove it out the workshop and gave it a squirt, it revs all the way to 7g (limiter) i didnt even realise it was revving that far. previously id if i revved past 5500 it woyld just go no where.

the car has a very different feel now, just wants to rev and has more torque all the way through the rev range due to the plenum.

i do have a questgion though, may sound silly but do the large flex pipes also act as a muffler? because i now only have the small one not the bit huge one, cos the car sounds really really deep and loud now, but up top sounds a lil like a milo tin ... which i dint like ..

would love to get it on the dyno to see exactly what difference it has made more so to rev and torque thasn peak power,

have my emanage sitting in my room waiting to be installed so be interesting to see how that changes things to

i think its with yur y pipe.

yeah it dosnt sound like a magna no more .... did u get the big flex pipe removed? cos i did .. is it possible that could act as a soun d deadender ( still have the small flex pipe)

well after a week of driving the car i really have to say,

anyone who can get a hold of a set of ralliart extractors cheap... get them if u like ut car to wind right out.

previous to having them the car lost pull at 5500 grand at best.

since having these on ive hit limiter a few time unintentionally simply because it wants to keep pulling (6800) i was very suprised with the difference it made, and very happy with the Y pipe the exhaust tech made up for me , having the 2 side by side showed how much better the current one is :D

the rpw plenum surely makes a difference to, car pulls really hard now and is 10 times more responsive, and this is still with stock CAI and i have a 2inch cannon on the back lol so thats restricting majorly to ..

i was 2 weeks away from getting my emanage installed and tuned ( was hoping for somewhere in the 140's) but umm car is off the road again as of midday tommorrow :(

so yeah conclusion is, snapping up secoind hand ralliart extractors from the ralliart boys when they up grade is a very good idea if u get a better y pipe and like the car to wind out ...

well there my thoughts anyways

the bit where it joins from the exhaust manifolds to make a single pipe

in the tr it was more of a T than a Y not sure in the 3rd gens i havnt been under me car just yet

third gens have the y pipe already. I know as I replaced my KS Verada T-pipe with a 3rd
gen sports Y Pipe.

Also, to the OP, Which flexi pipe was removed? The one between the two banks or the one
leading to the cat? Removing the one between the two banks isn't a big deal but removing
the one between the engine and the cat is a bad idea as the engine will torque and will
eventually break the exhaust pipe.
