just burned out my clutch, i posted a little rundown of the situation in general with the title "urgent - stamp duty?"
looking at a new car and needed some information. so help, what kind of prices have you payed to have a clutch replaced after it burned out?

at first i noticed power loss, thought it was my exhaust going, then i went 100km to the border for a party last night, i did 200 km by the time i went the long way, picked up a few friends, went to the grog store etc, at abt 150 km, i noticed a bit of a smell, not enough to be a clutch, thought might be the drive belt slipping, anyway, checked that, stood over the engine and played with the throttle while looking at the belts, nothing all fine, hmmm, maybe its the driveline, **** that could be expensive, not to worry, i will sort it out when i get home, well next thing the car has done 300km in 2 days and im about 10 minutes from home, it was so bad i judged the car 2 dangerous to drive, by that time i knew it was the clutch, pulled over and here i am, car towed home, [lucky i was with racv!] sitting stressing out because my baby wont go!

well, i dont know what is in it at the moment, not much id guess! lol, ok... it would be a stansard clutch unless a heavy duty one was fitted for towing, i couldnt say,
spoke to a friend today and he said he payed 700 for a heavy duty fitted in his commodore, so was that 539 with labour? anyway, thanks foir the help... will just say 500ish...
