I'm in need of a single DIN storage pocket for my KJ Verada

I called Eastside Mitsubishi (in Nunawading) to see how much they charge for one and almost dropped the phone when i got the price...$58 for a freakin empty plastic box!
I then bought a universal single DIN storage pocket from a local car audio joint for $20 but it did not fit

So my question is where's the best place to get one of these single DIN storage pockets from for a reasonable price that will fit?

they should have one out of a tj magna that would fit

Wreckers, just ensure you get one from a climate control model, should set you back no more than $10.

OR JB hifi etc... Like $10

No its not.

Non climate models the DIN pocket is screwed onto the back of the console fascia, whereas the climate models the din pocket is screwed into the cage that holds the cd player.

din pockets for verada's and the like are a particular shape so not all the jb HI-FI one will fit properly. i went to the wreckers and they just ripped one out for me for $5.

he ones from jb are $25 and they are standard din well thats what i have anyway, i would suggest just ripping one out from the wreckers

I have a spare non-climate model DIN pocket if anybody needs it. Free + postage.

If you still have it I am interested, mine has some screw holes from where the previous owners (public works) installed a CB.

Cant say for certain, I've never seen one installed, but i assume they would as its just a stock din size. Otherwise you could install one of the din size 5 cd holder things.

Yup it's an original Mitsu single DIN pocket
Got it from Imlachs (http://www.imlachs.com.au) in Clayton for $30
