Hey guys, might seem like a dumb question but do all magnas autolock after about 30secs or have i phucked something up lol

the doors will lock them selves if you unlock the car with the remote and dont open any doors and also if you unlock the car then drive it around and want to open all the doors it will also lock itself if you dont open any of the remainder doors (after you switched the car off)

Or if you unlock the car and only open the rear doors, this one nearly caught me out! Heard the door lock just as i was about to close it leaving my only set of keys sitting on the back seat.

mine relocks the doors if i use the remote to unlock it and dont open the door within about 30 sec>1 min?? Never locks itself at any other time though

yes - if you unlock it and don't open any doors for like 30s yes it will auto relock.

Both of my 3rd gens do that, they're the later ones with the red/green remote.

Be a bit careful too... it has caught me out *once* - the very day I was picking up my
wife & newborn from the hospital. I unlocked the doors & opened the sedan's boot,
loaded everything into the boot including carkey in bag, slammed the boot then
unoh *CLUNK* car relocks itself. :cry: Worse was that it was parked in a meter'd spot,
meter had just run out and my wallet & house keys were also in the bag. :shock:

The inspectors were all doing their rounds but hey they were human that day, godbless.
But don't trust 'em - I stood by the car regardless until 'rescue' came with my spare key.

My first tf locked my ex wife out once with the keys still in it and the engine still running.
RACQ call and all was fixed.
I should have paid more attention to the car. It seemed to know her better than me. It took me at least another six months to wake up and lock her out

Both my KS and my KW haven't done that. As soon as any door is open, it resets.
Although I do have a gripe with the annoying can't lock if boot is open feature which was
present in the KS and is still present in the KW.

Hmmmm weird, cuz yeh if i unlock the whole car, and only open a rear door, it'll reset the locks. Mines a TJII.

mine does this too.
maybe its incase u press unlock instead of lock as u walk away

does the interior light come on when you open your back door? maybe your little button is jammed in and the car doesnt know youve opened the door.

Actually come to think of it i don't think the light comes on for the rear doors :think:.
I'll have a play around tonight :).
