Hi all,

Am looking at buying a TJ Sports. Only concern I have is a grey/black plastic mismatch in the cabin. A picture is attached.

I have seen this before on other magnas and was wondering what the cause was? Is it deliberate or a mistake from factory?

Also have any members attempted a fix - painting over etc.? Thanks in advance everyone :D

I have a TJ2 Advance with identical color scheme. Looks pretty good. Bought some genuine grey floor mats for it too.

Had a look, my KE has it too.

Methinks its standard on all 3rd gens. (Unsure of TL/TW)

My TJII "2 tone" should be more like 4 tone, as the doors don't match with the dash exactly, close enough for me not to care about it though :P.

if you do decide to change it, try some vinyl dye. I have sprayed my centre console cover (the cushioned top) black to match my black seat covers. just make sure you clean it well and use many light coats.

I think I'll use the xmas break to do the rest of the light grey interior.

cheers,

Thanks for all the replies - find out something new every day.

Good to know that all of them came this way. I must not have noticed it in other TJs I have been in.

I guess it comes down to personal preference. If it bugs you, do something about it. If not, then don't :)
