i was thinking of tryin to wire it up so it only went up with my radio being on, not cd. but i think that might be rather hard
thats wat the yellow wire will be for.
mine only comes up wen the radio is put on, there is a wire out the back of the headunit which allows for this so its down wen cd is on

"thats wat the yellow wire will be for."
I put a "push lock" switch on it, works great.
If you want to put a mast in the unit, remove collar at back left hand guard, turn ignition on to raise the aerial. Get some one to help, as soon as the aerial gets out, put the new one in by the helper and turn the ignition off. The aerial retracts - all done put the collar back on.
Happens in seconds.
Hope this helps

What exactly would you connect a power and trigger wire to? As you can tell, I'm noob when it comes to car electronics... but I wouldn't mind replacing the fixed antenna off the back of my VR-X :D

Aeropro make a Kit for the magna part number is AP179 (available from Autobarn/Repco etc)
has all the instructions in the kit on how to install it
i took the power from the factory point for the Cell phone connection
if you have a after-market Head unit then you would normally connect to the Blue wire
or if you still have the stock head unit there is instructions in the kit on how to connect it to the factory unit using the power on button with the head unit

Repco sell the replacement, non gen, mast at about $40. No Ap ####### something. make sure you get the exact model for your model Magna.
Year manufacture is important.
I bought and replaced as previously described in this post. No problems.
DEC 28, 29 30 Repco has a 51% off sale on old and end of time stock.
Could be lucky, starts tomorrow.
Hope this helps
