Having a problem... I'm driving along like normal, and then I look at my water temp gauge and it is right up the top in the red. Scaring me ****less I keep an eye on it, and then suddenly it goes back down to normal 50% level. This is whack, what do you think could the problem be, I really don't want my car dying on me.

if you cant afford the therostat at the moment (less than $20 anyway) just go and buy the gasket for it, then remove the thermostat thats there.
your car doesnt really need it, especially coming into summer :)

yeah you need it, shouldnt cost you more than $16
summer???
without a thermostat MOST cars run hotter, it slows down the coolant flow, so you radiator has some effect...
then without one the bastard talkes much longer to warm up... so it idles high and runs rich for much longer..
then on cold days the poofta wont get to proper temp.... so you heater dosent work... great...
i had all them problems in a previous car cos i was too lazy to put it in.... took me 5min lol... and yay the car was all good again...
