Hi guys ( and gurls)

As I have now got a new born Bub and need all the boot space I can get i have a question regarding sub box design. (I have never made one before)

what is more important.....the shape or the internal volume?

I am thinking is it possible to make a slimline subbox that will sit up against the rear seat or possibly hang from the parcel shelf. mabey only as deep as the sub ( which I have not yet bought ). will it work as long as the box volume is correct.

if not what other options are there when boot space is at a premium

That's how I have mine, a little bit deeper than the sub. Works fine and leaves plenty of boot space. As long as the internal volume is correct you won't have any problems.

if you're looking for slimline have a look at pioneer, they have range of subs that are "shallow" so it doesn't take up as much room

or lose the rear speakers and get a pair of good 8's, get plenty of bass and lose NO space :)
