hey guys, does anyone know if you can use a red led in an indicator or does it have to be amber?

AFAIK red can only be used on the rear of the car as either a brake light or a tail light that is activated while the headlights are on (nighttime driving, obviously) anything else would be deemed illegal (on the grounds that emergency vehicles use flashing red as a warning device as well as other laws etc)
