I found on the ssv website that they sell VR-X style body kits but for the front bar it says it only suits TH and TJ does anybody know if they fit a TF aswell. Has anyone got any comments on what SSV are like, and also do they make custom bodykits..... like say you had twin exhaust could they make a VR-X style rear bar with another place for the exhaust on t he other side?

Ud have to ring them and ask about the rear bar...i know they get their bodykits from Fribersports and TALON.

and both those body kit companys make a decent quality kit...im having my kit repaired at fiber as i type...

I'm pretty sure the vrx front bar fits the TE/TF range

because the te and tf bar is different and the vrx bar clips on the bottom it may need some modifications because the mounts will prolly be different...but if it doesnt fit you can always go and buy a new stock front bar cover which is like $120 new...then whack the vrx add on

Are the SSV kits a dead ringer for the MMAL kit or are they slightly different?

i beleive they are a dead ringer....they dont make the wheel arch flares though but the good thing is the front bar consists of genuine mitsubishi spotlights!

As in the gaps take the genuine ones or it comes with genuine ones? I'm thinking I might get a Verada front bar so I can then have parkers and fit the VR-X kit to it.

yep exactly....im prettysure the th/tj bar will fit on the te as they mounts should be the same.


also to the dude who wants to put the vrx bar on a verada front bumper....it might not fit as the verada bar is chunkier

yeah to fit the vrx front bar you need a th tj front bar,you can buy a tj/th front and it will fit the te this is a quote from ssv--

And they do take the genuine mitz light wich are hell dear about $600 each light.I bought a bar with the 2 light from the wreckers for $400.

this may be a stupid question but is there a difference from a front bar to a front bar COVER... right and is only around $120 is that from a mitsu dealer?

the WHOLE front bar consists of the plastic bit and also the untrusion bar under neath

the bar cover is just the platic bit.....its about 120-180 but get one second hand for much cheaper

Okay, so the TE-TJ's bumpers are all the same to attach to the car but the bottom part of the TH's and TJ's are different to the TE's and TF's?

seems that way for the first part of your Q redav. but if i was to pick a front bar for a th or tj then it most likely wont be the colour of my car so i would need to get it painted ayyy?unless i can find a smashed rear end write off car that is paint in cocoon. i think its cocoon

if it is ,it's the same as mine,and i will be selling a sports wagon front spoiler very soon,and if u want possibly can give u the TH front bar aswell.
The spoiler is brand new and unpainted,but the bar is original of my 99 model TH,was on it when i bought it and does have some scrub marks on it.
I dont need any of them ,but was going to wait a few weeks before i put them up for sale as i am in the process of painting and fixing the rest of the sportswagon kit,and my ralliart front bar is being repaired and painted at the moment,so the stock front is on the car at the moment.
So i thought i would just post this now as i was reading this post and i thought it could be of interest to u,let me know if u r interested. 8)
